FIRST AID COMPETITION

The Battalion First Aid Competition held at Martyrs Church halls had the biggest entry for a number of years with 6 Senior and 9 Junior teams taking part. The British Red Cross under the Lead of Ann Brogan and 5 assistants helped by setting the papers and undertaking the assessment of every Boy in 3 different disciplines of First Aid from CPR, Recovery Position and dealing with a severe Bleed. Well done to all 30 Boys who took part.
Senior Champions in 1st place were 15th Paisley B Team, the runners up in 2nd place were 1st Houston A Team and in 3rd place the 15th Paisley A Team.
Junior Champions were 1st Neilston A Team, runners up 15th Paisley and in 3rd place 1st Neilston B Team.

The Object of the Boys' Brigade is to advance Christ's Kingdom among boys. Each BB company, as part of it's local church, is in the front line of The Brigade's work in achieving its object. The Paisley and District Battalion, comprising all leaders in our area, has the responsibility of supporting it constituent companies.

The Battalion's Mission is encapsulated in the words:
Helping the Church win boys for Jesus Christ.
 
The Battalion's Aims are to:
Support local companies, Develop the Christian commitment of our leaders, Provide effective leadership training, and Organise attractive inter-company activities.

The object of the Boys' Brigade is the advancment of Christ's Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of  Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a True Christain Manliness.
